We especially liked the newly designed 22-inch HD touchscreen that can now pivot and fully rotate. The new Nordictrack 2024 treadmill model allows the whole console to freely swivel and tilt up and down. Sound is a premium audio, front-facing soundbar, perfect for iFit workouts. Of course, you can always use Bluetooth to pair your favorite headphones, Airpods, or heart rate monitor devices. The 2450 features AI heart rate control with SmartAdjust interactive features - which we will discuss later in more detail. Finally, another interesting update for 2024, is the recommended user weight capacity has been increased from 300 to 400 lbs.

The NordicTrack Commercial 2450 has a comfortable roomy running surface, with the running deck measuring 20" x 60 inches. This provides space to run and comfortably and open up your stride, even at high speeds. Just like the previous 2022 model, the later 2450 treadmill features a durable, shock-absorbing deck, which helps reduce the impact on the knee, hip, and ankle joints. Our only comment/disappointment was that with the earlier 2450 model the running deck was 2 inches wider which our review team preferred, but other than that this treadmill delivers the same great feel.
The wide 22-inch HD touchscreen display is sharp, responsive to touch, and easy to use, with quick control buttons along the console sides for speed and incline adjustment (You can opt to use the touchscreen as well). All metrics and workout stats are thoughtfully laid out and display in real-time.

Whether you are a beginner or training for a competitive race for running, walking, or hiking, the close integration with iFit is a game changer. First, the iFit AutoAdvance feature enables trainers to live-control your running deck's speed, incline, and declines, all in real time, matching the terrain you are walking, running, or hiking through, which is pretty awesome to experience. Even at a decline elevation of just negative -3%, you feel the downward slope working your calves, glutes, and hamstrings. This feature also works in a similar way when running a customized route, you can design with iFit and Google Maps, or even when taking a trainer-led studio class workout.

You even get to switch taking the lead back and forth from your trainer - then do it all again, it is all fun and very engaging.

THE CONS
■ The wide screen is easy to use and view workouts on, it does tend to wobble slightly when running at high speeds. This did not bother us when running at speeds over 7.5 mph, but we thought it should be noted.
■ If you opt for self-assembly, the Commercial 2450 treadmill can be time-consuming to set up – takes about 60 minutes after unpacking and at least two people are required for moving and assembly. It is heavy! In the box, the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 weighs-in at 303 pounds, 286 lbs. approx. out of the box.
If you are not a DYI type, we recommend adding the assembly service for around $249 -299. It is worth it!
Can I use the Commercial 2450 treadmill without an iFit subscription?
YES, there is a Manual Mode option that gives full control over speed, inclines, and declines without a set duration. Perfect for when you need to run on your own over longer distances or want to design and plan your own workout program. Your stats display on the screen along with an oval track displaying speed and circuit completions.
This new 2450 model includes 14 onboard workouts with pre-selected speed and incline/decline levels. In addition, there is a limited number of iFit trainer-led workouts available to take as well. iFit adds a “Workout of the Day” so the selection does change. We highly recommend iFit to get the most out of your Commercial 2450 treadmill.
We suggest using the included free 30 Days of iFit to explore destination training sessions, find your favorite ones and familiarize yourself with the trainers and types of workouts that suit you best.
COMMERCIAL 2450 HIGHLIGHTS
1. CONSOLE
You will enjoy iFit workouts on this touchscreen. Its 22-inch HD display is bright and clear with an excellent resolution that quickly displays graphics and imagery. The controls for speed, incline, and decline are laid out well on-screen with easy-to-read metrics and an easy-to-read display bar at the top to keep you aware of calories burned, distance, deck elevation, etc. Toggling through several display options, you can select those metrics most important to you.
Adjust the viewing angle of the touchscreen. The 2450 treadmills console has a flexible, 360° twist-rotation swivel and tilts or pivots 60° to give you the best viewing angle for height adaptability and off-the-treadmill wellness workouts, like meditation and yoga or more energetic iFit cross-training sessions like boxing and strength-training.
Located on each side of the console screen are large Quick-Touch buttons, easily accessible to adjust incline (on the left side) and speed (on the right side) in whole number increments. There is a +/- button on the center of the control console for finer-tune incremental adjustments by .1 mph, and for inclining by .5%. These quick-touch adjustment buttons come in handy during (HIIT) interval training, either when following your own workout or when making an adjustment during an iFit session.
There are two built-in cooling fans with an option known as AutoBreeze, designed to keep the runner or hiker comfortable by increasing the cooling power of the fans as your workout intensity increases. If you plan to locate your treadmill in a space with poor or less than optimal air circulation, like a basement or garage, this can be a useful feature based on feedback we received.
Last, the console is Bluetooth enabled, allowing you to use your favorite wireless Apple AirPods or headphones. If you prefer to go loud then there are two 30-Watt, front-facing speakers Designed into the console that delivers full-quality directional sound.
There are two water bottle holders and a small tray for a phone.
2. TREADMILL FRAME
The New Commercial 2450 has a good-looking minimalist, sleek modern design and is in all black. The sides of the belt are nicely hidden under the side rails for a cleaner look and to prevent belt side-fraying. This Commercial 2450 has a well-built all-steel frame with a sturdy feel, which contributed to its high durability rating.

Higher-quality motors also help support iFit connected-Fitness features like AutoAdjust and SmartAdjust. Your iFit trainer can constantly change in real-time, and your treadmills speed and running deck incline to match the studio class or the terrain elevation you happen to be running, walking, or hiking on.
The motor is one of the more critical aspects when considering the right treadmill, and this is one area where NordicTrack excels. They know how to build a treadmill motor that is durable and sized correctly for its use.
4. RUNNING DECK
The Commercial 2450 is a foldable Treadmill which means the running deck is designed to be lifted up to save floor space.
[MYN Pro TIP] Besides the space savings, this makes it easier to move the treadmill short distances or clean under the treadmill deck. Easy to lift up and lock in place, then with a soft tap of the foot on the support bar the running deck gently descends to the floor by itself, using NordicTrack‘s EasyAssist feature.
The Latest 2450 treadmill model has its running deck measured at 20” wide x 60 inches long and while it offers a good roomy surface to walk or run on, we did prefer the older 2022 model that was a little wider (2 inches) but is no longer available. The shock-absorbing characteristics of the deck also decent offer cushioning for an overall good user experience.
Last, the Commercial 2450 treadmill accommodates users’ weight up to400 pounds which was updated from 300 for the latest model.
