Peloton Tread gets an Update – Automatic Inclines
Peloton adds an auto-incline feature to the Peloton Tread
Finally, Peloton has added auto-incline to its Peloton Tread, where the incline elevation of your treadmill’s running deck can vary following your instructor’s cues during an on-demand Tread workout.
NordicTrack treadmills, and indoor bikes, have supported this AutoAdjust feature for the last two years, similar to the Bike+, where a rider can automatically adjust resistance more or less, as shouted out by the instructor during on-demand rides. The Peloton Original Bike, however, does not support automatic resistance changes and is $1000 less than a Peloton Bike+. Massive savings if this feature is not for you.

Manual Override of Auto-Incline
A rider has the option to enable or disable the auto-incline option. You must enable the auto-incline on every ride to use this feature. By default, auto-incline is disabled at the start of every workout. You can manually override a change made by the auto-incline to fit your goal.
Once the auto-incline feature is on, an outline of the lock icon will begin to fill. It is your indication of the amount of time left until the next incline change. When the Instructor cues the new incline range, your treadmill's running-deck-incline, will start to adjust.
