The fabrics are tested by OEKO-TEX and comply with their highest standard and strict certification process and safe for babies and children — meaning they’re free of synthetics and chemicals.
What Does "GREENGUARD Certified" Mean?

If a product has been GREENGUARD Certified, it has been tested and scientifically proven to have low chemical emissions. It’s guaranteed to give off only low levels of volatile organic compounds, or VOCs.
VOCs are carbon-based chemicals (such as formaldehyde) that easily become vapors or gases. Mattresses, flooring and even wall paints give off VOCs. GREENGUARD Gold Certification means products emit even lower levels and incorporate a really low level of formaldehyde emissions specifically.

TALALAY VERSUS DUNLOP LATEX
Both types of latex have a springy feel, but the Talalay latex has an added bouncy feel and retains less heat. The reason is because during processing, Talalay latex forms tunnels that make it more breathable and slightly cooler. The extra bounce comes from an expansion that occurs during the freezing portion of processing. The two types look similar in appearance. A mattress or pillow made from Talalay latex maybe be slightly more expensive than other materials.
REASON FOR WOOL
Wool has awesome natural properties. It naturally regulates body temperature to keep you comfortable – cool in warmer temperatures, warm in winter months. It also acts as a natural fire barrier as it’s difficult to ignite.
POCKETED COILS OVER MEMORY FOAM
A good quality coil system will give you better edge support over a memory foam mattress and is more supportive for spinal alignment. Memory foams are made from petroleum chemical derivatives that can give off VOCs. (Volatile Organic Compounds — Gases and vapors released that can be harmful) Using coils is a less toxic option and that is why Blu Dot decided to use pocketed coils in the Natural mattress.

Well suited for all types of sleepers, this Blu Dot mattress gives enough support, so you won’t get sore shoulders while it properly supports your back. It has responsive, conforming and pressure-relieving tendencies that combine and work together.
